Stephen Kenneth Brunken

Stephen Kenneth Brunken of Salt Lake City, Utah, died 23 June 2016 of heart problems. He was born December 30 1960 in Eugene Oregon to Carol Ann and Dale Winn Brunken. He graduated from Los Altos (CA) High School and attended Ricks College. He began work in the insurance industry in San Jose, California where he worked for Medical Group Insurance Services, Inc. He moved with the company in 1997 to Salt Lake City, Utah where he was active in various capacities until his retirement from the company and insurance industry in 2008.
Stephen was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many positions of responsibility. He served for two years as a missionary for the Church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
He is survived by four daughters, Jazmine, Kennedy, Macy, and Maya, of Ogden and Salt Lake City; former spouse Cathy Waters of Salt Lake City; and his two brothers Daniel Joseph Brunken and Jeffrey Dale Brunken, both of Salt Lake City. His family devotion, kindness, generosity and love will be remembered by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held at the Cottonwood 2nd Ward Chapel (2080 East 5165 South) in Salt Lake City, Utah Wednesday June 29th at 11 a.m. Friends may call at 10 a.m. one hour prior to services. Internment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park and Mortuary. In lieu of floral offerings the family suggests that donations be made to the Intermountain Foundation at Primary Children's Hospital.
